what is Rotary Pump?

A Rotary Pump is a type of pump that is capable of pumping more liquid than reciprocating pumps with the same weight. The pump requires a relief valve for protecting the piping system and the pump because of its positive displacement. The relief valves help the pump to lift the pressure and return the system fluid either back to the supply tank or to the suction side of the pump. These pumps work within certain limits with the pump situated above the source of supply.
